Vasilis joined EFRAG in October 2023 as a Junior Technical Manager for the Financial Reporting Team.
Previously, he worked as a Graduate Trainee at the European Securities and Markets Authority, participating in supervisory convergence activities related to the supervision and application of financial statements prepared under IFRS, sustainability reports, as well as the implementation of the European Single Electronic Format and legislation on corporate governance (Shareholder Rights Directive).
Prior to that, he worked for Deloitte M&A Transaction Services, in Athens, conducting financial due diligence of companies targeted for acquisition, focusing on mainstream and adjusted company valuation metrics and financial statement analysis, adjusting reported figures according to the different assumptions of the IFRS and Greek GAAP accounting frameworks.
Vasilis holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business.
