Listen to the 3rd episode of the EFRAG podcast series: PIR of IFRS 10, IFRS 11 and IFRS 12
In December 2020, the IASB published a Request for Information (RFI) on the Post-implementation Review of IFRS 10 Consolidated Financial Statements, IFRS 11 Joint Arrangements and IFRS 12 Disclosure of Interests in Other Entities (the PIR).
In brief, IFRS 10 sets out the requirements for the preparation of group - consolidated - financial statements, IFRS 11 addresses how to account for interest in joint-arrangements, and IFRS 12 sets out the information to be disclosed in the notes to the financial statements about interests in other companies.
To present the objectives of the PIR exercise, EFRAG recorded a series of four podcasts. Each 10-minute episode provides a concrete and concise description of the PIR and the IFRS Standards under review.
