Help Shape Europe’s Voice on the New GRI Labor Standards Exposure Drafts: Join EFRAG's workshops

Are you following the development of the latest GRI Labor Standards? Make your voice heard during EFRAG's new workshops on 17 & 19 February and help EFRAG shape a European perspective.

EFRAG will collect input from European stakeholders with an interest in the GRI Labor Standards Exposure Drafts via online workshops taking place on 17 and 19 February 2026. Applications to participate must be submitted by 13 February 2026.

EFRAG intends to submit a comment letter to GRI setting out its position on the exposure drafts currently under consultation. To inform this position, EFRAG invites European stakeholders to share their views through the dedicated workshops.

This call for participation is launched by EFRAG alongside the Public comment period underway on the GRI exposure draft standards developed as part of the GRI Topic Standard Project for Labor.

The current exposure drafts open for public comment are:

  • GRI LRBR: Labor Rights in Business Relationships

  • GRI FACB: Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

  • GRI CL: Child Labor

  • GRI FL: Forced Labor

Access the four exposure drafts.

Objective of the workshops and why participate

The workshops aim to collect practical input from stakeholders on these exposure drafts, particularly regarding their clarity, applicability, and interoperability with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) under the CSRD framework.

Your participation will help inform EFRAG's feedback and contribute to ensuring effective alignment between the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and EU (ESRS) reporting requirements.

The workshops also offer an opportunity for direct dialogue with EFRAG experts and peers.

Who should participate

EFRAG invites stakeholders, including companies subject to (or preparing for) CSRD/ESRS reporting, especially those with experience in social-related disclosures for ESRS S1 Own Workforce and ESRS S2 Workers in the Value Chain, human rights due diligence and/or reporting experience with the GRI standards and/or labor standards.

When & where

Dates: 17 February 2026 (morning) and 19 February 2026 (afternoon). (Format and timing to be confirmed upon registration; likely an interactive 2-hour session).

The workshops will be held on two separate dates, and participants are expected to attend one session only.
