EFRAG Sustainability Board Update: New Composition

EFRAG is pleased to confirm the composition of its Sustainability Reporting Board (EFRAG SRB), effective as of 1 March 2025. Since most members have been available for reappointment, the composition remains largely unchanged except for the representation of the user sector where Susana Peñarrubia succeeds Alexander Bassen whose mandate concluded earlier this year due to other responsibilities.

Patrick de Cambourg, Chair of the EFRAG SRB, said:

"The Board is fully committed to deliver against the policy objectives of the Union at a critical moment, we are therefore pleased that most members will be able to continue contributing in line with their commitment. We welcome Susana Peñarrubia, whose expertise in sustainable finance will enrich our deliberations. At the same time, we extend our gratitude to Alexander Bassen for his thoughtful contributions to our work over the past years.”

EFRAG’s multi-stakeholder approach is central to our mission. With a broad and balanced representation of European stakeholders, the EFRAG SRB stands ready to fulfill the specific mandate received from the EC on the simplification of ESRS.
