EFRAG Opens Call for New Members to Join its User Panel

EFRAG is calling for candidates to join its User Panel, inviting applications from experienced users of financial reporting, financial users of sustainability information, including responsible investors, analysts, credit rating agencies and valuation specialists.

The panel plays a key advisory role, providing guidance to EFRAG’s Financial Reporting Technical Expert Group (EFRAG FR TEG) and Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group (EFRAG SR TEG). Its members contribute to the development of high-quality financial reporting standards that meet the needs of capital providers across Europe. For sustainability reporting, the panel is tasked with providing insights from the viewpoint of users who rely on both general-purpose financial statements and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) disclosures.

The EFRAG User Panel meets approximately four times a year, combining physical and virtual meetings. Members are also asked to provide input via email consultations, video conferences, or other electronic means as needed.

Application process & timeline

Interested candidates have until 8 December to apply by sending a short motivation letter outlining their relevant experience, along with a CV, to nominations@efrag.org.

EFRAG aims to ensure diversity across the panel — balancing professional backgrounds, sectors and gender — with appointments made in a personal capacity rather than as organisational representatives. Substitute attendance is not permitted.

Further information on the candidates’ profiles can be found in the call for candidates, while details about the User Panel’s objectives, preferred composition, and methods of working can be found in the Terms of Reference.
