EFRAG meeting Portuguese stakeholders on reporting developments on 5 February 2019 - Lisbon

EFRAG and CNC Portugal invite you to a joint event addressing financial reporting and wider corporate reporting developments from a European and Portuguese perspective on 5 February in Lisbon. EFRAG will give insights to its current work programme, its recently established European Corporate Reporting Lab and its advisory role in the EU endorsement process of IFRS Standards and Interpretations.

Speakers will include António Mendonça Mendes, Secretary of State of Fiscal Matters, Jean-Paul Gauzès, EFRAG Board President, Lúcia Lima Rodrigues, Vice-President CNC Portugal, José Rodrigues de Jesus and Paula Franca, respectively the Presidents of the accounting and auditing professions.

Technical presentations will be given by Andrew Watchman EFRAG TEG Chairman and CEO, Saskia Slomp, EFRAG Director Governance & Admin and Filipe Alves, EFRAG Advanced Technical Manager, Isabel Castelão Silva, the coordinator of the Private Sector Accounting Standards Committee. The Portuguese Securities Market Regulator (CMVM) will also give a speech on the implementation of the EU Directive on non-financial reporting in Portugal.

The EFRAG session will be chaired by Fernando Teixeira dos Santos, ex-Minister of Finance and the Portuguese session by Carlos Lobo, ex-Secretary of State of State of Fiscal Matters. The programme can be found here.

The event will take place on Tuesday, 5 February 2019 from 9:30 to 13:00, at Salão Nobre do Ministério das Finanças, Avenida Infante D. Henrique, 1C, Lisbon. Participation is free of charge. There will be simultaneous translation.
