EFRAG calls for expression of interest on VSME digital tools and platforms
EFRAG has opened two calls for expression of interest to support the wider uptake of the VSME Standard across the EU market. Stakeholders can submit their responses by 5 April 2026. The calls are part of EFRAG’s ongoing work on the VSME ecosystem, building on the feedback from stakeholders collected in the VSME Market Acceptance Progress Report. They build on the mappings of digital platforms and initiatives, as well as digital tools that were released in 2025 to help Small- and Medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with voluntary sustainability reporting.
Call on Digital Platforms and Initiatives
With this call, EFRAG is seeking to map existing or “in development” initiatives supporting voluntary sustainability reporting by SMEs. This includes sustainability reporting digital platforms, ESG data platforms that match online demand and supply of ESG data and act as aggregators of preparer and user sustainability data, as well as other relevant initiatives, such as access to data banks like waste registers.

Call on Digital Tools
With this call, EFRAG is seeking to map existing or “in development” digital tools. These include greenhouse gas (GHG) calculators, geolocation tools, and tools for identifying water-stress, biodiversity-sensitive areas and climate risks.
