EFRAG appoints new members to its financial reporting technical bodies

EFRAG has appointed new members to its technical advisory bodies to strengthen expertise and guidance in financial reporting.

In March, the EFRAG Financial Reporting Board (FRB) agreed on the new composition of the Financial Reporting Technical Expert Group (FR TEG), effective from 1 April 2026.

The five new EFRAG FR TEG members are:

  • Michael Fechnner (auditor/preparer, Germany)
  • Adrian Geisel (auditor, Germany)
  • Marieke Renders (preparer, Netherlands)
  • Susanne Simona Seested (preparer Denmark)
  • Alexandra Sviteková (at large, Slovakia)

Carmen Barassa (auditor, Spain), Andrea Lionzo (academic, Italy), Aranzazu Leo Abad (banking, FI specialist, Spain), and Peter Ujvari (preparer, Hungary) were reappointed as EFRAG FR TEG members.

Anne-Francoise Didier (insurance specialist, France) has been appointed as EFRAG FR TEG Vice-Chair, succeeding Jens Berger.

EFRAG expresses its thanks to Jens Berger, An Lommers, David Procházka and Christoph Schauerte for their valuable contributions to the EFRAG FR TEG and EFRAG’s financial reporting activities and their commitment to EFRAG. Further appointments were also made at the EFRAG FR TEG meeting on 20 March, with new members joining the EFRAG Financial Instrument Working Group (FIWG) and the EFRAG User Panel.

EFRAG FIWG, now comprising 24 members, welcomed Cyril Kanony (auditor), Alessandro Maldifassi (banking), Celine Molinari (auditor), Jeremy Pages (auditor), and Valentina Rossi (banking). Longstanding members Bonifacio Di Francescantonio and Laure Guegan stepped down, and EFRAG is very grateful for their valuable contributions to EFRAG‘s work. We are very pleased that EFRAG FR TEG member Aranzazu Leo Abad takes over as EFRAG FIWG Chair, succeeding Jens Berger, who concluded his terms on both EFRAG FR TEG and EFRAG FIWG as of 1 April 2026, but will continue as Chair of the EFRAG Connectivity Advisory Panel

On the EFRAG User Panel, Robbert Manders, equity analyst at Antaurus Capital Management, joined as a new member.
