Mathieu is senior manager Prudential supervision and sustainability at Achmea. He has more than 25 years experience at Achmea in different roles which includes the transition of Achmea GAAP to IFRS as adopted by the European Union, the implementation of the Solvency II prudential regime and the transition of the Annual report form the NFRD towards the CSRD requirements. One of his responsibilities is preparing and internally publishing the Sustainability Accounting and Disclosure Manual for Achmea which provides the requirements for the sustainability reporting in the broadest sense.
Mathieu is chair of the Corporate Reporting Working Group, co-chair of the Prudential Regulation working group and member of the Sustainability working group of AMICE, member of the Sustainability reporting working group of the Dutch Association of Insurers and member of the Corporate Reporting – Investments and Sustainability Finance Group of Insurance Europe. Mathieu is also member of the multi-stakeholder Technical Committee Insurance of the Global Reporting Initiative.
Mathieu holds a master degree in Business economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
