Luc Vansteenkiste holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louvain.
He spent his entire career at Recticel, where he was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 1991, became a co-owner in 1997, and served as Vice-Chairman from 2010 to 2012.
He is Honorary Chairman of the Federation of Belgian Enterprises, having served from 2002 to 2005, Honorary Chairman of EuropeanIssuers (2014–2026), and Honorary President of the Prince Filip Fund.
Throughout his career, he has served as a board member or chairman of numerous organisations, including BATC, CBR, Telindus, Spector (now Smartphoto), Ter Beke, BNP Paribas Fortis, Sioen, Bepolux, Bois Sauvage, Delhaize, Lannoo, SVK, the Platform for the Financing of Belgian Enterprises, Le Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, and LCO. He also chaired the jury of the Walloon Marshall Plan.
Mr Vansteenkiste is currently Chairman of MONA.Health and serves on the boards of EuropeanIssuers and the EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board (SRB). In addition, he is a member of the Innovation Circle of essenscia, the Belgian federation for the chemical and life sciences industries.
