Karin Eisenhut is Team Leader for Accounting Policies and Procedures at DZ BANK, Germany, and has been responsible for the Group’s accounting policy work since February 2015. In this role, she is actively involved in assessing accounting issues—particularly related to financial instruments—and preparing opinions on IASB exposure drafts and other accounting regulations.
Karin has over 15 years of professional experience as a lawyer, tax counsellor, auditor, and accounting expert. Before joining DZ BANK in 2008, she worked at KPMG, focusing on clients in the financial services sector. She is a member of several accounting-related working groups, including the Accounting Working Group of the European Association of Cooperative Banks (EACB) and the IFRS Working Group of the Association of German Public Banks (VöB), and has been a member of EFRAG’s Financial Instruments Working Group (FIWG) since 2016.
