Kanchan Mishra is the Founder and CEO of Sustainometric BV, a sustainability research and analytics firm supporting investors, banks, ESG data providers, and civil society organisations with ESG due diligence, climate and ESG regulatory compliance, and corporate sustainability assessments. Her work aligns with leading reporting and regulatory frameworks, including CSRD, ESRS, SFDR, IFRS S1 and S2, and TCFD.
She has nearly two decades of experience in responsible investment and sustainability research, working at the intersection of corporate reporting, ESG data methodologies, and investment decision-making. Kanchan previously contributed to EFRAG’s Capital Markets Advisory Panel (CMAP) and has been actively involved in discussions on the development and implementation of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
Her professional background includes roles at Robeco, Profundo, and RobecoSAM, where she focused on active ownership, ESG engagement with listed companies, and sustainability benchmarking and assessments used by institutional investors.
As a member of the EFRAG User Panel, Kanchan brings a practitioner perspective to financial and sustainability reporting, emphasising decision-usefulness, comparability, and practical implementation of European reporting standards for investors and other capital market participants.
