Internship – Communications Assistant
Location: EFRAG offices, Brussels, Belgium
Period: 6 months term
Hours: Full-time (38 hrs/week)
Allowance: Contribution to living costs, meal tickets + transport allowance
The ideal start date for this position is 30 September 2024. An earlier starting date can be discussed. We also welcome applications beyond this date.
Application deadline: 20 September 2024. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview at EFRAG’s office (Brussels) in the second half of September 2024.
Responsibilities of the position
EFRAG is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented communications assistant intern to provide support to our communications team. Under the guidance of EFRAG’s communications managers and management team, the communication assistant intern will play a key role in enhancing and reinforcing EFRAG's visibility and awareness among stakeholders through effective communication strategies, contributing to both financial and sustainability reporting activities.
The role is based at EFRAG’s office in Brussels, and it requires working at least two days in the office.
Main Tasks
- Draft content for the different EFRAG communication channels (news item, social media content, newsletter...) aligned with the organisation’s strategy and objectives.
Support keeping the website current.
Support the coordination of the EFRAG’s in-person, online and hybrid events internally and with external organisations.
Monitor media and report on communication campaigns, social media reach, Google Analytics, social media analytics etc.
Profile
You must be currently enrolled or be recent graduate with a degree in communication, journalism, marketing, press relations, or a relevant field (Candidates that are no longer enrolled in university can expect an internship stipend (Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle under Belgian Law)
You must have EEA nationality and be based in Brussels during the time of your internship.
Skills
Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to details & creative mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (proficiency in additional languages, especially French, is welcome)
Ability to work independently, proactively, manage priorities & communicating regularly
Experience in managing social media profiles and website content
Experience in managing events (online, hybrid & in-presence) (desirable)
Good knowledge of design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) & of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
