- Period: Recruitment on continuous basis, 6 months (renewal possible for one term of 6 months). All internship positions starting in February/March 2025 have been filled. Next openings: September 2025.
- Hours: Full-time (38 hrs/week)

Role description:
EFRAG is offering internships in its financial reporting activities. As an intern, you will be expected to support the EFRAG financial reporting work in influencing the development of IFRS Accounting Standards (including projects on the IASB workplan and EFRAG’s proactive research projects) and providing endorsement advice on IFRS Accounting Standards.
There is also an opportunity to work on EFRAG’s research project on the connectivity between financial and sustainability reporting.
The internship role entails giving support to the work conducted by the EFRAG technical staff in drafting of technical documents, regular engagement with EFRAG’s governance bodies (EFRAG Reporting Technical Expert Groups and Reporting Boards), working groups and outreach to a broad range of external stakeholders including preparers, users, national standard setters, auditors, regulators.
Through the internship, you will gain a unique professional experience in corporate reporting standard-setting in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment and have access to and direct interaction with a rich network of corporate reporting stakeholders.
Eligibility:
For an internship in financial reporting, you must have be in the final year of your Master or have finalised your Master in accounting including having taken advance courses on IFRS related topics.
In addition, the following is expected of interns:
- Intellectual curiosity and keenness to learn more about either financial or sustainability reporting standard-setting;
- Can demonstrate a basic awareness of main reporting Standards and frameworks;
- Ability to gather and analyse qualitative and quantitative data, draft high-quality short reports;
- A good team player;
- Proactive, organised individuals that are capable of managing multiple tasks and communicate regularly to manage expectations;
- Good communication skills with proficiency in both written and spoken English
- Have EEA nationality and be willing to relocate to Brussels during the internship.
We are also recruiting interns to work and get experience in the area of communication and digital corporate sustainability reporting with XBRL.. Internships in sustainability reporting for September 2024 are completed but we have open places for February/ March 2025.
