John Eirik Grova is an expert in business and human rights, responsible business conduct and responsible investment. He has extensive experience advising financial institutions and companies in other industries on human rights due diligence, SFDR, CSRD and ESRS implementation, and the Norwegian Transparency Act.
He is currently a Senior Advisor at ECIT Forretningspartner, which was acquired from the banking group SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge by the Nordic financial and IT services group ECIT in September 2026.
Prior to his current role, John worked for over a decade at the secretariat supporting the UN mandate on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, contributing to a range of thematic projects, including those on corporate human rights due diligence and conflict-affected areas.
He was a member of the EFRAG Banking Advisory Panel in 2024–2025.
