Jesús López Zaballos holds a PhD in Management and Business Administration from San Pablo CEU University, Madrid (1999, summa cum laude), and a Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Complutense University of Madrid (1985). He also obtained a Diploma in General Management (PDG) from IESE Business School (1997) and is a Certified Expert in Business Valuation and a Certified Financial Adviser, accredited by the Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts (2008).

Former Chairman of the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies (EFFAS) from 2012 to 2025, Jesús is currently an Independent Director at MAPFRE Asset Management, Chairman of the EFFAS Advisory Council, Member of the Board of the Madrid College of Economists, Founding Partner and Chairman of Formación y Finanzas, S.L., and Senior Adviser to the Dean of Nebrija Business School.

He began his professional career in 1983 as a broker in the Spanish money market. He later worked as a capital markets expert for several major private and public financial institutions, holding a wide range of senior responsibilities. In 1991, he was appointed Head of Domestic Treasury at Banco de Crédito Industrial, and from 1995 to 1998 he served as Head of Training for the Treasury and Capital Markets areas of Argentaria.

In 1999, he founded Formación y Finanzas, S.L., a business consulting and financial advisory firm specialising in training and advisory services for the financial industry, where he currently serves as Chairman. In 2013, he became a founding partner of Aureo Wealth Advice EAFI, S.L., a wealth management firm registered with the Spanish financial regulator. In 2014, he joined the Advisory Board of Docout, a company specialising in high-tech outsourcing services, business process management, records management and consulting. In 2023, he was appointed Senior Adviser to OESIA Networks, a Spanish multinational specialising in dual-use digital and industrial engineering.

Since 1990, he has been a regular lecturer and visiting professor in seminars and specialised programmes at several universities and business schools. Since 2024, he has served as Director of the Master in Advanced Finance at Nebrija Business School.
