Francesca Romana Sabatini has over twenty‑five years of experience in financial markets, specialising in fundamental analysis, financial reporting, and corporate valuation. She is Head of Equity Research and Corporate Broking at Banca Profilo, where, since 2007, she has built and led the Equity Research division, producing macroeconomic and equity analysis for institutional investors and facilitating ongoing dialogue between listed SMEs and the financial community.
From 2015 to 2025, she served as Investment Manager and Investment Committee member at the Sator Private Equity Fund, overseeing investment processes, portfolio monitoring, and governance activities. She held board positions in several portfolio companies, including Chairwoman of the listed company Restart S.p.A., guiding board deliberations, corporate governance oversight, and strategic alignment between management and shareholders. Since 2023, she has been a Board Member of Ginvest SpA, serving on its Internal Control and Risk Committee.
Francesca is an active contributor to the financial analysts’ community through her long-standing involvement with AIAF. Since 2004, she has lectured on Financial Analysis and Corporate Valuation within the AIAF‑CEFA‑CIIA programme, supervised examinations, and led the Corporate Valuation area of the AIAF Financial School. Her academic background includes an MSc in Economics and Econometrics from the University of York and a degree with honours in Economics from the University of Rome ‘Tor Vergata’.
Her commitment to high-quality financial and sustainability reporting is reflected in numerous contributions to national and international roundtables. She has served on FERPI’s Oscar di Bilancio valuation committees (Best ESG Reporting 2024; Best SME Reporting 2025), spoken at the EFRAG–OIC joint outreach on the IASB project Financial Instruments with Characteristics of Equity (March 2024), participated in AMF Italia’s webinar on takeover bids, and lectured at Università Cattolica on corporate valuation in times of crisis. She is also co-author of Analisi finanziaria e valutazione aziendale (Hoepli, 2006).
