Felipe Herranz holds a PhD in Economics and Business Administration from the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain. He is certified by the ROAC (Official Accounts Auditors Charter, Spain) and serves as a postgraduate senior lecturer at several Spanish universities. He is also a member of the ICAC Accounting Advisory Committee and the steering committee of Accounting Economists within the General Council of Economists of Spain.

At AECA (Spanish Accounting and Business Administration Association), he is a member of the Board of Directors, President of the Financial Instruments Forum, and a member of the Commission of Accounting Principles. Dr Herranz is also the Director of the Master’s programme in Financial Risk and International Audit at IEB in Madrid and has more than two decades of experience as CFO at PwC Spain and other international companies.

His research focuses on international financial reporting and derivative financial instruments. He is author and co-author of nearly one hundred publications, with his most recent work accessible online at AECA.
