Ewa Wanda Maruszewska is an Associate Professor at the University of Economics in Katowice, in the Department of Business Informatics and International Accounting. She combines over twenty years of academic experience with extensive practical expertise as a preparer and user of IFRS financial statements, including fifteen years in senior finance roles within an international corporate environment.
A certified accountant and active tax advisor, her professional profile is centred on the intersection of corporate reporting and taxation, with a focus on the decision-usefulness of financial information for management, investors, and other stakeholders.
Beyond academia, Ewa has advised and prepared expert opinions for public institutions and the judiciary, including the Supreme Audit Office, parliamentary research services, prosecutors, and courts. She has also served as an expert within Poland’s Ministry of Finance on analytical and research projects at the interface of tax law and corporate reporting, and has been invited as a visiting scholar at the International Monetary Fund.
