Gérard Gil

Senior Advisor to BNP Paribas's Executive Committee, Gérard Gil supervised the accounting department of
BNP Paribas from its creation in 1999 until 2009 and was the firm's deputy Chief Financial Officer from 2009 to 2012. He is a member of the Board of Directors and audit committee of banking institutions in different European countries and in the USA.

A member of the Supervisory Board of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group, he has been the Chairman of the Accounting Committee of the French Banking Association since 1998 and of the Accounting Committee of the European Banking Federation from 2004 to 2011.

Gérard Gil has been a Member of the ANC (Autorité des Normes Comptables previously Conseil National de la Comptabilité - French Accounting Standard Setters) Board since 2007 and Chairman of the International Commission.
Beforehand, he held various positions at BNP, BFCE and KPMG.
