Roberto di Pietra

​Roberto Di Pietra is a full professor in Accounting and Business Administration at the Department of Business and Law (University of Siena). He earned a Ph.D. in Accounting and Business Administration in 1997 (University of Pisa), as well as a specialization in Banking in 1993 (University of Siena). He has been a Faculty member of Network Harmonia (Faculty Accounting harmonisation and Standardisation in Europe: Enforcement, Comparability and Capital Markets Effects, 2000-2005). Di Pietra’s main research interests are International Accounting, Auditing and Accounting History.

He was the Editor of the Journal of Management and Governance (2007-2015), and is currently a Past and Contributing Editor of the same Journal. He is also an EB member of Accounting in Europe, Revista Espanola de Contabilidad y Financiaccion de Empresa, and Financial Reporting.

He is President of the Italian Society of Accounting History and Head of the Department of Business and Law.
