12/01/2021 - Reminder: IFRS 17 Draft Endorsement Advice - please provide input by 29 January 2021
EFRAG asks constituents to provide their views on the EFRAG draft endorsement advice on IFRS 17 Insurance contracts by Friday, 29 January 2021. Please submit your comment letter here by clicking the 'Comment publication' link.
In September 2020, EFRAG published its draft endorsement advice ('DEA') on IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts. Comments on the DEA on all aspects of EFRAG's analyses supporting its preliminary conclusions are requested by Friday, 29 January 2021.
EFRAG's draft endorsement advice package consists of the following:
- Cover Letter;
- Appendix I (description of the requirements in IFRS 17);
- Appendix II (DEA assessment and conclusion about the qualitative technical characteristics of all the other requirements in IFRS 17 - apart from the requirement covered in Annex 1);
- Appendix III(DEA assessment and conclusion about European Public Good on all the other requirements in IFRS 17 - apart from the requirement covered in Annex 1); and
- Annex 1 (observations about the use of annual cohorts to intergenerationally mutualised and cash-flow matched contracts that are relevant for the DEA assessment of topics usually presented in Appendices II and III).
