Description :

In order to improve the transparency of its agenda decisions and to be more helpful to its constituents, IFRIC has made changes to the procedures it follows when deciding not to take an issue on to its agenda.
(i) Since 2005 IFRIC publishes an explanation of its rationale for not taking an issue on to its agenda.
(ii) That explanation is prepared in draft form by the IFRIC Agenda Committee and included in the papers for the subsequent IFRIC meeting but not discussed at that meeting. The draft explanation is then published in IFRIC Update, allowing the public to submit comments on the draft. At its next meeting, the IFRIC considers the comments it receives and finalises the explanation, which is then published.
