22/04/2011 | European Event on Considering the Effects of Accounting Standards

As a follow up to the Discussion Paper Considering the Effects of Accounting Standards, EFRAG and the UK Accounting Standards Board would like to invite you to an event in Brussels on Monday 16 May from 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm. The event will be hosted by the European Commission at their offices.

The objectives of the event are to:

• outline the proposals in the Discussion Paper;
• provide an opportunity for EFRAG, the UK ASB, the EC and the IASB to present their perspectives on how effects should be considered throughout the standard- setting process;
• hear from constituents on how they think the process should work and also what other factors need to be considered in developing these proposals.

Speakers include: Françoise Flores, EFRAG Chairman; Ian Mackintosh, Vice Chairman-Elect IASB;David Loweth, Technical Director UK ASB.
