Pierre Henri Damotte

​Pierre-Henri Damotte joined Société Générale in 1992 and is currently Head of Accounting Public Affairs. He was previously leading the Group Accounting Policies since 1998. In these roles, he is actively involved in the contribution of the bank to accounting debates. He also highly contributed to the first application of International Accounting Standards by Société Générale in 2004/2005 and to the implementation of all subsequent amendments to these standards.

He is member of the Accounting Committee of the French Banking Federation. He is also involved with the French Accounting Standard setter (ANC), acting for more than 15 years as member or chairman of several working groups dealing with financial instruments, consolidation and presentation of financial  statements for both answering to IFRS consultations and issuing new French accounting standards.

He is member of the EFRAG's Financial Instruments Working Group since 2009 and has previously contributed as an observer to the PAAinE Working Group on Debt/Equity.

Prior joining Société Générale in 1992, he worked at Arthur Andersen as external auditor for French financial institutions (banks and insurance companies).

He is graduated from Reims Management School and holds a Master's Degree in Accountancy and Financial Management.
