Jochem Quaak

Jochem Quaak is a managing director in the Amsterdam office and part of the Valuation Advisory Services business unit. He has more than 20 years of corporate finance and valuation experience.
He specializes in the Integrated Healthcare, Consumer Products and Semiconductor industries, but has also been involved in valuation engagements covering several other industries, including, telecom and industrial products.
Jochem has advised and performed valuations for a large number of the world’s biggest pharmaceutical companies, as well as smaller biotech focused enterprises. In supporting these companies he has performed numerous compound and R&D project valuations.
His experience includes purchase price allocations and asset valuations for financial reporting purposes under Dutch GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP; (intangible) asset and goodwill impairment analyses; equity and asset valuations for tax purposes; fairness opinions for the board of directors; shareholder value management; and general valuation consulting.
Jochem joined Duff & Phelps in January 2004. Prior to Duff & Phelps, Jochem performed valuation services and strategy consulting within the Corporate Finance group of PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Netherlands, covering various industries.
Jochem is a regular guest speaker at universities on valuation topics.
Jochem received his M.S. in business economics from Tilburg University in the Netherlands and his M.S. in finance from London Business School.
